Applications are invited for approximately five positions of Technical Associates (JRF) on contractual basis for DIP/GIS related work, initially for a period of six months. Extension of tenure to the deserving TAs would be possible only if it is required for the project.
Qualification:M.Sc./B.E./M.A.(Geography)/MCA from recognised University/Institute with some experience of remote sensing & GIS applications (special paper, project, dissertation etc).
Desirable Qualification:Diploma/degree in remote sensing and GIS applications. Preference will be given to UGC/CSIR/NET qualified candidates.
Experience:6 months' experience of working in digital image processing (DIP) and GIS softwares.
Age Limit:Shall not be more than 30 years as on date of advertisement.
Selection: Candidates have to appear for written test, hands-on test and interview at 9.30 AM on February 15, 2011. Selection will be done on the basis of qualification, experience and performance in the written test/interview/hands-on tests. Decision of the Director General, FSI will be final in this regard.
