Selection of
appropriate suppliers from approved vendor list and release of Purchase orders
in time complying with company procedures
Support Procurement
Manager during negotiation with suppliers for the best prices and commercial
terms
Ensure inclusion of
complete purchase specifications in PO
Establish supply chain
for standard items of procurement
Track open indents and
action for closure
Track POs and ensure
deliveries on time from suppliers
Co ordinate with
supply quality for inspection on time before shipment
Ensure complete
documentation from suppliers complying with SEZ and company requirements
Track performance of
suppliers and communicate periodically
Track open orders and
action for closure
Update planning status
of POs
Track variances, if
any
Good communication
skills both verbal and written.
Good negotiating
skills
Highly motivated,
persistent and self-starter with demonstrated skills in procurement
Knowledge of materials
and applicable international standards
Knowledge of
commercial terms and regulatory requirements
Diploma/Degree in
Mechanical in engineering – with 10 years of purchasing
experience in an engineering industry
