POWERGRID, the Central Transmission Utility of the country, a leading NAVARATNA PSU under the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and one of the largest transmission utilities in the world, invites applications for the following Group- C posts (Carried forward unfilled vacancies /current vacancies) for its Eastern Region- I Covering States of Bihar, Jharkhand and parts of UP, West Bengal & Odisha.

• Diploma Trainee (Electrical): 20 Posts (UR=11, SC=03, ST=02, OBC(NCL)=04, Horizontal Reservation:- PH(HH-PD)=01
• Qualification: Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PH candidates
• Diploma Trainee (Civil): 08 Posts (UR=04, SC=01, ST=01, OBC(NCL)=02, Horizontal Reservation:- PH(HH-PD)=01 
• Qualification: Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/ Institute with minimum 70% marks for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PH candidates
• Assistant (Finance & Accounts): 04 Posts (UR=01, SC=01, ST=01 (Backlog), OBC(NCL)=01, Horizontal Reservation:- PH(B-LV/HH-PD)=01 
• Qualification: B.Com with First Division for General/OBC(NCL) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST/PH candidates. Additional qualification of M.Com shall be desirable. 
• Junior Technician Trainee (Electrical): 65 Posts (UR=33, SC=13 (2 Backlogs), ST=04, OBC(NCL)=15, Horizontal Reservation:- PH(OH-OL/HH-PD)=03
• Qualification: ITI (Electrical) Pass from a recognized Technical Board/Institute 
• Closing date of Receipt of Completed Applications : 15th March, 2011
• Tentative Date of Written Test : 10th April, 2011
